A little about myself...
Hello, my name is Chay Whitlock, founder of Whitlock Imagery. I'm from South Arkansas, where I spent the majority of my life in construction as an electrical contractor. I moved to Panama City, Florida in early 2023. On arrival, I immediately began working as foreman for an electrical company building a hospital. After being in Panama City for a few months, meeting the locals and being involved in the community, I discovered that making a life as an artist isn't so far-fetched here. So after years of treating my photography as a hobby, I dusted off my equipment and decided that I would jump in head first and pursue a career as a photographer. And on April 8th, 2024, that's exactly what I did. I quit my job, and Whitlock Imagery was born.
Today, many know me as "The Dive Photographer", as I got my big break from being the in-house photographer at a local bar called, "The Dive". (Formerly known as, "The Salty Hobo".) And it was there that I discovered my niche while making far too many friends to count. I would go on to work with dozens of bar and nightclub owners, restaurant owners, band managers etc. I even got the opportunity to travel with a local band to the Caribbean as well as go on tour with international rock band, "Framing Hanley". I've done just about every genre of photography there is, and I absolutely love every single minute of it.
